Colby Charles Davis, age 33, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, March 30th, 2019. Throughout his life, Colby was an actor, a comedian, musician, and someone who wanted to make everyone around him laugh and smile. His creative mind lead him to write poetry, play music, and give himself over to worlds of fantasy and fiction, such as those of Dr. Who, Star Wars, superheroes, and many others. No matter where he was or who he was around, Colby never let anything mute his personality or his voice. He would sing loud for all to hear, he would do impressions to make anyone smile, and his laugh was one that everyone who knew him will remember. Although he experienced struggles, he continued to pick himself up when he was knocked down. He fought even when he didn’t feel like fighting; his hope that things would get better never faltered. Regardless of everything Colby went through, his faith in God and humanity and his love for the world remained constant. His authentic love for animals, his constant love for people, his passionate love for tattoos and music, his compassionate and forgiving heart, and his unique mind will all stand out in our memories as beautiful parts of Colby’s existence. All of his friends and family loved him more than he knew, and we will miss him always.

Fran & I want to send out love to all those that loved, cared, considered Colby a friend, family members, and or anyone touched by Colby's talents and gifts.
We've known Colby-Won since he was 17 rehearsing in our den. We are saddened by his sudden death and our wish is that his light he shared with others hides any darkness that he had.
Here is a doodle Dink created in his memory "Colby on the Moon".

Colby, I will always remember your booming voice and bright spirit. Our hour long FB chats are treasured more now than ever. Though we had not seen each other in some time, our connection kept us communicating through the years. I was so saddened to hear of your passing. Your absence in this world is a tragedy. I hope that you are finally pain free and at peace, friend. My deepest condolences to your family.

When you are a child the thought never crosses your mind that things can end this way. I'm sorry they ended like this for you. I love you and I hope you are finally at peace, and that you never experience another moment of sadness or pain ever again.

Colby was one of my first friends in the Statesville area. I moved down here from New York and Colby and I clicked right away. He recommended the church that my son still attends Landmark. He got my son interested in a musical instrument. Colby also helped me get sober with his encouraging words. He also got me going back to wrestling. He surprised me and got us tickets to Raw and we had a great time in Charlotte!! I miss you stopping at my job in Food Lion just to say hello. Love you and miss yoi!!

When Colby was 6 months old, I would hold him in my arms and we would dance to the song “Give Them All To Jesus” by Christy Lane. Colby I love you and I will miss you. See you again one day.

Colby was my neighbor until the last 3 weeks ago
He was a genuinely compassionate person almost to a fault, where he would neglect his needs for others.
I wanted so much to give him the words he needed but I don't think that anyone could've have satisfied that . When you are as compassionate for others as he was it is almost impossible to receive back what he freely gave. Rest in Peace brother.

I will never forget how much of a wonderful kind person you were. I will never forget our conversations. I will never forget how much I enjoyed watching you perform on stage. I just thought you were the most hilarious and talented guy and could not stop smiling when I would watch your work. I will never forget your kindness giving me comp tickets to comedy shows. You were truly a wonderful person and you will be truly missed my old friend.

I just wanted to share my memeories as best I can about Colby. The 1st one I have is that he was my very first boyfriend! We were in pre school at Grace Baptist Church in Charlotte and we used to trade snacks at lunch all the time. He always gave me the best ones so I guess I decided he would make a great partner, lol. We didn't remain very close after preschool, but I have and always will hold a spot in my heart for him and his family.

I'm so sorry for your troubles, Colby. I pray God has blessed you with the peace you have always deserved. ❤
