Born in Trang Bang, Vietnam, he lived a life filled with challenges that would have broken many, yet he faced them with courage and determination. He endured the hardships of the Vietnam War, pursued his education, and eventually made the difficult journey to America, leaving behind his medical background to give his family a better future.
Starting over in a new country was not easy. He worked in grocery stores, restaurants, and wherever he could, never allowing hardship to stand in the way of providing for his family. He was a highly educated, intelligent, and stoic man who rarely showed weakness. His love was not expressed through grand gestures or many words, but through tireless work, quiet sacrifices, and unwavering devotion.
He was the kind of father who would go hungry to make sure his children were fed. He carried the weight of his family’s needs without complaint, always putting everyone else before himself.
Above all, he adored his beloved wife, Kim Anh Do. He spent his life caring for her, spoiling her in his own special ways, and making sure she and their children had everything he could possibly provide.
Together, they raised seven children: Kim Thanh, Thuylieu, Dat, Thanh, Hiep, Hoa, and Binh. His greatest accomplishment was the family he built and the opportunities he created for his children through a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice.
He was deeply loved and respected by his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, friends, and community.
He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Anthony, Amanda, Minhvu, Truongan, Minhthu, Michelle, Eric, Sarah, Sabrina, Sophia, Skyler, Kai, Victoria, My, Thao, Hieu, and Chance.
Despite the hardships he endured, he found happiness in life’s simplest moments. When the family first arrived in America, money was scarce, but their memories were rich. Family road trips became treasured adventures. Instead of eating at restaurants, they would stop at rest areas and share simple meals of rice noodles, soy sauce, and cucumber. Those humble moments became some of the family’s most precious memories.
He loved telling stories, often taking so long to finish that his wife would lovingly fuss at him. Those stories, his quiet humor, and the joy he found in the smallest things will forever bring smiles to the faces of those who loved him.
On October 26, 2026, at 7:40 in the morning, his earthly journey came to an end. Though his family must now say goodbye, the love he gave and the sacrifices he made will live on for generations.
He taught his children that true wealth is not measured by money, but by family, love, education, and the willingness to sacrifice for those who depend on you.
Dad, you gave up so much of your own life so that we could have a better one. You worked when you were tired, sacrificed when you had little, and loved us even when you did not have the words to say it.
We will miss your stories, your strength, your familiar presence, and the little things you did that made our family feel safe and loved.
You spent your entire life taking care of us. Now, we will spend the rest of ours honoring you.
Rest peacefully, Dad. You will forever be our strength, our protector, and our home. We love you, and we will carry you in our hearts until we meet again
