Dalline Lebonville

Dalline was born on March 31, 1931, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to the late Thomas and Mary Jordan. She graduated from Great Falls High School and carried throughout her life the values of kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength that defined her character.

On April 7, 1951, she married the love of her life, Renaud Lebonville, in Great Falls, South Carolina. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four children. Dalline treasured her role as a mother and found her greatest joy in her family. Her heart grew even fuller when she became a grandmother and later a great-grandmother. Nothing meant more to her than time spent creating special memories with those she loved.

Dalline was loving, loyal, and sweet to everyone she met. She had a gentle spirit and a natural ability to care for others. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles, sewing, crafting, and doting on kittens. She also had a well-known sweet tooth and never turned down desserts or sweets, which brought her much delight.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the tenderness she showed to family and friends alike. Her legacy lives on in the love she poured so generously into others.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Dalline was predeceased by her husband, Renaud "Shorty" Lebonville.

She is survived by her four children, Gaye Dianne Lebonville of Charlotte, Brenda Ann Henderson and her husband, Mike of Charlotte, Susan Rae Lebonville Small of Charlotte and Ray Joseph Lebonville of Monroe; 4 grandchildren, Christina Marie Akers and her husband, Jay, Steven Ray Lebonville and his wife, Christina, Amanda Marie Lebonville and her companion, Zach Sparks and Terry Lynn “TJ” Small, Jr. and his wife, Beckie and 5 great grandchildren, Celeste Morgan Potempa and her husband, Marc, Towner James Akers, Ashton Reid Small, Ann Marie Riale Akers and Cooper Violet Akers.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, located at 6440 Old Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269. Funeral service will immediately follow. Dalline will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery, 7800 Henderson Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269.
