I have such fond memories of David, Sara, and his daughters in his suite at the Charlotte Motor Speedway--he always took such good care of Nancy and me while we worked both the October and May races for about 12 years. David had a kind heart and will be greatly missed...Thinking of you all during this sad time, Sheila Snipes Smith (Charlotte, NC)

Sara. My heartfelt condolence goes to you and your and David's family, at his passing. As I was on vacation, I did not know this until Kathy told me today. I know it is a great loss to you Sara and your entire family. My prayers for you and God be with you all, during this trying time. If you need me, I will be here for you. The Allison family have been very much in the history of Mecklenburg County. Rest in Peace, David.

Mrs. Allison, Paige, Kelly & Amanda - I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Allison. Robby read about it in the paper Friday which it was too late to attend the services. It just broke our hearts - I have such great memories from my teen years with him & the Allison Family - he was such a kind & loving man - that thought the world of "his girls"! My thoughts & prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Love Robby & Lisa Warlick

Dear Sara and Family-I just learned of David's death in this morning's online Observer. I truly share your grief in this most difficult time. While we had drifted apart over the decades with time and distance, I always thought of him as a cousin from the time I first met him in 1945. What wonderful memories I have of David and his entire family. May he rest in peace.
