David Charles Bosworth Jr.

David was born at Joint Base Andrews where his parents proudly served the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems. He excelled at computers and his first job after college was working at Fox Software as a Technical Engineer. After Fox Software was purchased by Microsoft, he relocated to Charlotte to work at Microsoft, Hearst Corporation, and spent 19 years at Bank of America.

David was a gentle soul and a homebody. He enjoyed working out and established a home gym. David loved animals. He adopted a three legged kitten he named Tripod. Concerned that the kitten was lonely, the next day he returned and adopted Tripod’s cage mate. When a stray had kittens in his backyard, he thought the mother cat abandoned her babies and brought them all inside. Mama Cat did return to search for her kittens and David had a cat colony to call his own. He also cared for a family of racoons for years.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen, and his six beloved fur babies.

Left behind to mourn David’s absence are his father, David; sister, Dawn; brother, Douglas (Denise); and niece, Joyah; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Interment will be in Michigan. Memorials in David’s name can be made to any cat rescue, such as Heart of a Lion Rescue, or any no-kill animal rescue/shelter.
