David Joseph Elliott

Mr. Elloitt, age 72, of Locust, NC formerly of Charlotte passed away Wednesday June 12, 2013. He was born in Charlotte on August 1, 1940 son of the late Howard and Margaret Honeycutt Elliott. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Elliott. He was a graduate on Indian Trail High School and attended Kings College. David was a poster child for the March of Dimes in 1950 and owned David J. Elliott Agency Inc. for 25 years, a member of Mint Hill Lodge #742 AF&AM, Order of the Eastern Star Mint Hill Chapter and past president of Locust Lion’s Club. A graveside to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday June 15, 2013 at Sharon Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend Doctor Kenny Wallace followed with masonic rites by Mint Hill Lodge #742 AF&AM. The family will receive friends following the services at the graveside. Survivors are his wife of 45 years Barbara Watts Griffin Elliott, two stepsons, Ted Griffin of Locust, Don Griffin (Robin) Mint Hill, two sisters Nora Ann Ingram of Waxhaw, NC, Nancy Carol Griffin of Hagerstown, MD, a very special brother-in-law Neal Ingram of Waxhaw, NC two great granddaughters, Brandi and Katelyn Griffin of Mint Hill and one great grandson Mason Griffin of Mint Hill and all his beagles.
