He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Muriel Livingston Hoag; two children, Aaron D. Hoag and wife Tai and Janelle H. Montgomery and husband Peter; and two grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Montgomery.
A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4th, at Christ Episcopal Church, 1412 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends in the Blue Room following the service.
