Dr. David J. Kim, age 77, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center. Born in Daegu, South Korea on March 6, 1937, he was a son of the late Wan Sup Kim and Cha Nam Hwang. Dr. Kim was Professor Emeritus of Finance at Indiana State University and Chief Editor & Founder of the journal Global Business and Finance Review. A loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, he was an avid golfer and traveler and was regarded as a gentleman and scholar.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, June 14th in the Lakeside Garden of Sharon Memorial Park.
Dr. Kim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Yongae Kim; a son, Dr. Edward S. Kim,
Chair of Solid Tumor Oncology at Levine Cancer Institute, and wife Florence and two grandchildren, Elyssa Kim and Alexander Kim, all of Charlotte.
