David Aubrey McManus

David Aubrey McManus, 51, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was born on November 23, 1974, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to David O and Olivia McManus. He died unexpectedly on June 8, 2026. He was preceded in death by his sister, DeAnne McManus. He leaves behind his fiancé, Penny, whom he loved with all his heart.

David was, in every sense, one in a million—steadfast in character and generous in spirit. His kindness and love were felt in the way he showed up for others, and his giving nature was so sincere that it could seem he would offer the shirt off his back without a second thought. He cared deeply for family and friends, and those who knew him came to trust his integrity and respect his strong work ethic—qualities that meant he not only got the job done, but insisted on doing it the right way.

As a boy, David spent many happy hours on the baseball field, with his dad as his coach, building memories that remained precious through the years. He also loved soccer and wrestling, excelling in all he pursued. David will be remembered with pride and gratitude, and he will be missed more than words can express.

Visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212, on June 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm. The Funeral will follow at the same location on June 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Committal will take place at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on June 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
