David loved being outdoors. Whether he was searching for arrowheads, fishing, hiking, camping, or watching football, he found joy in life's simple moments. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with the people he loved.
One of the things everyone noticed about David was his curiosity. He was always asking questions, not to fill silence or make small talk, but because he genuinely cared. He took a sincere interest in people and the world around him, a quality that is increasingly rare. When you talked with David, you felt heard, seen, and cared for.
To his family, David was Superman. He was strong in every sense of the word. He made them feel safe, he was dependable, and he always put his family before himself. He embodied what it means to be a father, grandfather, and a good man.
David is survived by family and friends who loved everything that made him who he was. He will live on in every inside joke (mostly from The Office), every lesson he taught without realizing it, and in the example he set for all of us. We will miss him deeply, but we are grateful beyond words to have known him, loved him, and been loved by him.
