Dayton James Dwy

Dayton James Dwy, 22, passed away March 8, 2018, after being involved in a car accident. He was born on July 28, 1995, in Charlotte, NC, to Stephanie Byrum and James Dwy. From the day he was born, Dayton lived his much too brief life to the fullest. He was blessed with a beautiful smile, creative imagination, and an enthusiasm that knew no bounds. In addition, he always strove to be thoughtful and helpful to anyone in need. He loved his son, family, and friends; as well as cars, hunting, and plain ole ‘tinkering’ like his PawPaw, Rob Byrum. He will be missed by all those he leaves behind – a son, Zane, parents, Stephanie and James, grandparents, Sandra Byrum and Carol Snyder, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that all loved him. The family will be receiving family and friends Friday, March 16th, from 6-8pm at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17th, at 2pm at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, 7407 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC. Rev. Jeff Pinkston will officiate. Following the service, visitation with the family will be held in the Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers, you can donate to Zane’s college fund. Contact Stephanie Byrum for the information.

To the Family
You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. May God provide you with comfort during this grievous time. Be assured that one day soon God will do away with death forever. 1 Corinthians 15:26

Dayton my friend you were probably one of the funniest people i have ever met. You had a very outstanding and explosive personality you were good at just about everything. We would sit out back and laugh and dream about the cars that we want and just relax and watch the sun go down. You always helped me out when i needed some back up and you always answered. You were a true friend of mine. We will see you again someday. R.I.P Buddy.

My memories of you stretch from childhood to where I stand today. I'll always remember growing up with you. One of my favorite memories is ignroing all the adults and watching the stars on top of the car. I will always look back on nights like those. I'm so happy I was able to call you such a dear friend. I love you so much. Rest in piece.♥️
