Dayton James Dwy, 22, passed away March 8, 2018, after being involved in a car accident. He was born on July 28, 1995, in Charlotte, NC, to Stephanie Byrum and James Dwy. From the day he was born, Dayton lived his much too brief life to the fullest. He was blessed with a beautiful smile, creative imagination, and an enthusiasm that knew no bounds. In addition, he always strove to be thoughtful and helpful to anyone in need. He loved his son, family, and friends; as well as cars, hunting, and plain ole ‘tinkering’ like his PawPaw, Rob Byrum. He will be missed by all those he leaves behind – a son, Zane, parents, Stephanie and James, grandparents, Sandra Byrum and Carol Snyder, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that all loved him. The family will be receiving family and friends Friday, March 16th, from 6-8pm at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17th, at 2pm at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, 7407 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC. Rev. Jeff Pinkston will officiate. Following the service, visitation with the family will be held in the Family Life Center.
In lieu of flowers, you can donate to Zane’s college fund. Contact Stephanie Byrum for the information.
