Deborah was born on September 13, 1965, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Roy and Joann Hall. She graduated Garinger High School in 1983. She worked in several different fields, but her most treasured job was the work she did with Fresh Chef as a catering manager for over 10 years.
Deborah was active in several pool and bowling associations. She was self proclaimed and wildly renowned as the "defense queen on a pool table". She always brought passion and skill to the game. In her free time, Deborah enjoyed crafting homemade candles to sell, dancing, singing karaoke, taking trips to the beach, and enjoying occasional casino outings. Above all else, her greatest devotion was to her family, and her absolute favorite place to be was surrounded by her grandchildren. Those who knew her best will remember her as joyous, dedicated, and adventurous—a vibrant woman with a truly contagious personality.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Michael Dean Hipkins; her beloved children, Julia Marr, Joanna Campbell (Bruce), and two bonus sons, Austin Hipkins and Mason Hipkins; her cherished grandchildren, Gregory Christy, Jessa Campbell, and five bonus grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters, Beverly Kay Vernon (Mark) and Sheila Ann Parton (Craig); her sisters-in-love, Elizabeth Fricks (Mike) and Vicki Linkovich (Wes); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her first husband, Gregory C. Marr; her sister-in-love, Catherine Marr Chase; her niece, Jennifer Rodriguez; her nephew, William Lambert; and her cousin, Misty Link.
