Debra "Debi" Kay Bornhauser, age 69, of Charlotte,NC passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Born September 2, 1954 in Ellisville, MO, she was the daughter of the Della Mae (Meyers) Rickard and the late Don Rickard. She married Henry "Hank" Bornhauser March 4, 1978 in Ellisville, MO.
A gardner at heart, Debi enjoyed trips to the beach, knitting blankets, beating her son-in-law in fantasy football, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes on her family.
Survivors include her mother, Della Mae Rickard; husband of 48 years, Hank Bornhauser; children, Don Bornhauser (Suzanne Goldberg), Michelle (Mike) McFadden and Marcus Bornhauser; grandchildren, Logan, Gwyn, Savannah, John Michael, Jacob, Aidan and Megan; brother, Steve Rickard; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Debi was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Rickard.
A visitation for Debi will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 1:30 PM until the time of her funeral service at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
