Debbie was born in Jacksonville, FL on May 12, 1964. She was beloved by her family and friends, known for her humor, her strong spirit and her enormous heart. After serving the Charlotte community for twenty years in the staffing industry, she devoted herself to her clients as a payroll specialist for the last several years of her life.
She rejoiced in her ever-deepening trust in the Lord, and attended Mission Community Church in Charlotte. Debbie lived her life to the fullest: she could run a pool table in a single turn, was a renowned grillmaster, loved the beach and was a fierce protector of the people she loved. She was a joy to all who knew her, and was affectionately called “A-nut Deb” by her grandnieces and grandnephew.
She is survived by her mother, Liz Motl; her sisters, Linda Drummond and Donna Rodgers; her niece, Margaret Drummond and her family; her nephews, Christopher Rodgers and his family; Timothy Pittman; Michael Pittman and his family; Jeffrey Drummond and his family; and Shawn Pittman; along with many other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wendell James Dixon; her step-father, Bill Motl; and her sister, Pamela Westberry.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held on Sunday, January 18, at 4:30 pm at McEwen Funeral Home Pineville, NC.
