Diane Winters Burazer

Diane Marie (Heberle) Winters Burazer, 84, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Watercrest Senior Living in Indian Land, South Carolina.

Diane was born on April 7, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Aloysius “Al” Theodore and Sybilla Marie (Wessel) Heberle of Verona, Pennsylvania.

Diane Married James “Jim” Gannon Winters on August 9, 1958. Together they had four children, James “Jay” Gannon Winters, Jr., Paul Heberle Winters, Patrick Carey Winters, and Jennifer Kathleen Winters. Jim passed away on February 10, 1981.

Diane relocated to Charlotte in 1988, and married Walter William Burazer, a widower, on October 29, 1994, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Walter passed away on April 13, 2015.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Jim and Walter; her son, Patrick; and her nieces, Kelly and Erin.

She is survived by three children and their spouses: Jay (Connie) Winters, Paul (Kim) Winters, and Jennifer (William) Cannady; and eight grandchildren: Gannon and Sarah Winters, Jacob and Lexie Winters, Ashley Boyer and Colin Winters, and Danielle and Emma Cannady. Surviving are three siblings: Dick (Mary Lou) Heberle, Carol (Brian) Zimmerman, Don (Rita) Heberle; and numerous nephews, nieces, and their families.

Diane is also survived by her stepchildren: George (Mary) Burazer, Gregory (Julia) Burazer, Michael (Sandy) Burazer, and Carol (Jack) Rhodes; nine grandchildren: Nathan, Natalie, Nicholas; Julie, Daniel, Paul; Jason, Adam, Spenser; and nine great-grandchildren: Brett, Katie, Jenna, Will, River, Scarlett, Evan, Quinn and Logan.

A visitation for Diane will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210. A funeral Mass will occur Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210.
