Dianne Smith

Born February 16, 1953, she was an active member in her community and alumni of the North Carolina School for the Deaf by doing volunteer work and just being where she was needed and loved. During her personal time she loved working on her crafts, reading her Bible, journaling and doing what she enjoyed most by spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored greatly, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Hannah (Charlotte); four grandchildren, Alisia (Salisbury), Anya (Kannapolis), Derrick Jr. (Kannapolis) and Justin (Lexington); three great-grandchildren, Jelyssa, Gianna and Selaina; as well as, two sisters, Alice Grace (Charlotte) and Linda (Orrum), one brother, Pee Wee (Summerfield).

She was preceded in death by her parents Franklin D. Hunt and Donnie Bell Miles along with two sisters, Carolyn and Peggy Sue and brother Darryl.

Dianne will truly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Dianne will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service Inc., 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM
