He loved shopping at Goodwill so much that he was able to decorate his entire home, which was featured in the “Home” section of the Charlotte Observer.
Donald had such an eye for antiques and authenticity that he used his purchases from Goodwill to start his own online business. His motto was “buy cheap and sell profitable”.
He loved to travel, and he has been to Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Monti Carlo, on several cruises and to Hawaii.
Donald was proceeded in death by his parents Johnnie and Dorothy Battle, grandparents Huenell and Cleo Gray, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memories, sisters Algie Tillery (Horace), Brenda Suggs, Linda Timmons, Bridget Battle all of Charlotte NC. Brother Toney Battle (Pearlie) of Weaver AL. Nieces Helki Timmons, Sharde’ Suggs (Ciaira), Nikita Battle, Justice Gray. Nephews D’Anthony Tillery (Wanda), Tory Suggs (Raquel), Hyrum Timmons, Antwan Battle, Shardan Suggs. 15 grand nieces, and nephews, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins
