A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2013, at First Christian Church, 1200 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203. The family will receive friends at First Christian Church from 12-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
Don was born April 15, 1940, in Kilsyth, West Virginia, the son of the late Hazel Charlotte Bibb Puckett and Charles Richard Puckett. He was a member of First Christian Church of Charlotte. Don was a loving father and grandfather who loved his family. His love of music was a hobby and enjoyed sharing his music with family and friends. He has coached baseball with Winterfield Athletic Club. He was a charter of Windsor Park Optimist Club. Don worked for Life of Virginia Insurance Company and had been retired for several years.
Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by his brother, Charles S. Puckett and sisters, Margaret Beirne and Charlotte Bookman.
