Donald Gene Sneed

Donald Gene Sneed, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2015 following a battle with cancer and other medical issues. Donald was born on January 31, 1954 in Charlotte to Ruben Sneed and Jeanette Brown Sneed. He was a graduate from West Meck High School.

He worked in construction as a plumber for general contractors and for the last 20 years was self-employed as Sneed Plumbing Company.

Donald is survived by his wife of 31 ½ years, Sharon James Sneed and his two sons Chris and Chase; his mother Jeanette Brown Sneed; sister Sandy Sneed Moffitt; brothers Ronald Sneed and wife Becky, Anthony Sneed (Tony) and Stephen Sneed (Scottie) as well as numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his father Ruben Sneed, a brother Chris Sneed as well uncles, cousins and a nephew.

Donald was a wonderful husband and father and loved to play golf and go on fishing trips. He worked hard and played hard. He also loved to watch cowboy movies and sports and was a huge Panthers fan. He was blessed with many, many friends who loved him dearly. He will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte. A private family burial service will be held immediately after in Sharon Memorial Park.
