Doris Mitchell Golder

Doris Mitchell Golder, age 91, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born to the late Clyde Rupert Mitchell, Sr. and Jesse Crook Mitchell. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Steuart Golder, her son Richard Lamar Kennedy, grandson Joseph Edward Kennedy, and step-grandsons John Golder and Dirk Knowles, her father Clyde Rupert Mitchell, Sr., mother Jesse Crook Mitchell and brother Clyde Rupert Mitchell, Jr.,

Doris is survived by her son Bryan Scot Kennedy (Lisa Kennedy), her step-son Bruce Harold Golder (LaNae Golder), her granddaughter Kendall Anne Kennedy and step-grandchildren Roseanna Robertson, Michelle Beech, Gailyn Peterson, Justin Golder, Jennifer Golder, Teshanna Monfred, her brother Jerry Wayne Mitchell (Beady Mitchell), her sister-in-law Jeannette Mitchell, and her beloved cat Coco. She is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum beginning at 11am.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregiver and companion, Queen Streater.
