

Doris was a loving wife of 61 years to Bill Proctor and an amazing mother. She was happiest being a wonderful homemaker and she lived life to the fullest always smiling.
Doris's love of cooking was evident as she enjoyed watching the Cooking channel. Her home cooked meals were always delicious. Frequently she would drop off her homemade rum pound cake at the local fire department. Many a day she called her son in law for culinary tips.
She was an excellent seamstress and loved to sew. She created amazing historical costumes for her family. Recently returning from a historic fashion symposium in Williamsburg, VA. One of her favorite compliments was from Colonial Williamsburg staff recognizing her attention to historical detail in the 18th century clothing she had made.
Doris's favorite pastime was shopping. She was always ready to go look for another treasure to add to her many collections. Seasonally she would decorate her home with all the items that she cherished to make holidays, birthdays and special events memorable.
Doris is survived by her daughters Patti Proctor, Pam (Shawn) Panuline; several nieces and nephews.
