Mrs. Vinesett, 80, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her home in Huntersville.
Dean was born October 12, 1929 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late James Monroe Campbell and Emma Ethel Ross Campbell. She retired from Jenkins Electric Co. after 21 years of service and was a charter member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Mrs. Vinesett was a wonderful gardener, well-known for the fresh vegetables she grew and especially for her tomatoes. She is also remembered for her love of Myrtle Beach.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Ann Teague of Hobbs, NM and Carolyn S. Veleke of the home; her twin sister, Jean Goforth of Cornelius; and her brother, Robert A. Campbell and his wife Sallye of Charlotte.
Her family also includes four grandchildren, Tammy Roberts (Gary) of Rio Rancho, NM, Denise Teague (fiance, Van Myrick) of Jal, NM, Michael Veleke (Jenny) of Huntersville, and Brian Veleke (Amanda) of Kannapolis; and eight great grandchildren, Justin and Caroline Roberts of Rio Rancho, Ross, Gracie, Amber and Georgia Veleke of Huntersville, and Noah and Silas Veleke of Kannapolis; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Her husband, O.G. Vinesett; three brothers, Norman, James and Don; one sister, Marlene; a granddaughter, Holly; and a son-in-law, Tommy Teague, preceded her in death.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Vinesett’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16 in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with the Reverend Leroy Grant officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
