She passed away on January 24, 2022 at age 93. She was born to George and Blanche Howell on August 4, 1928. After graduating from high school, Dot began her career as an operator and customer service agent with the Southern Bell Telephone Company. She and her late husband Bobby Huffstetler had 3 children: Robby, Ellen and Aaron.
After retiring from the Telephone Company, she enjoyed sewing and loved spending time in the garden at all times of year. Her favorite pasttime was visiting with family, especially at Christmastime.
She married her second husband, Ralph Scarboro, on October 17, 1998 and they spent 19 wonderful years together before he passed away in May 2017. She is survived by her daughter Ellen Carnes; son Aaron Huffstetler (Dannie); granddaughter Morgan Siebs (Kevin); step-daughters Debbie Snyder (Tom), Sandi McCormick (Bob), Kim Scarboro; and step-granddaughter Hannah Snyder.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2pm on January 29th, 2022 at The Grove Church located at 5735 East W.T. Harris Blvd, followed by a graveside ceremony at Sharon Memorial Park.
