She is survived by her husband, Sam Jackson; daughter, Carol Scott and husband, John, of Charlotte; granddaughter, Lisa Dovina Armstrong and husband, David, of Lincolnton, NC; grandsons, John Scott, Jr. and wife, Lita, of Concord; James E. Scott of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Richie Ashe, Patrick Armstrong and Logan Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Teamon and Dortha Rice Norton; brother, Perry Norton and sister, Ella Mae Lamb.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Pastor Dan Carter and Chaplain C. L. Bradfield officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
