

He graduated from South Side High School and from Pace College in NYC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer H. Vasoll, Sr. and Marion Vasoll.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, June Vasoll; his children, Paula Dishman (fiancé, Joe Urh); Beverly Lauer (Rick); Connie McCain (Rob); and Thomas Vasoll; his grandchildren, Richard and Benjamin Lauer and Robert and Scott McCain; his sister, Marion Harstedt; and six nieces and nephews.
Mr. Vasoll retired after 35 years as comptroller of the Duke Endowment.
He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and Olde Providence Racquet Club. He bowled for many years in leagues at Park Lanes.
After retirement, he volunteered at numerous assisted living residences by playing the piano. He especially enjoyed playing the piano at the Rheinland Haus.
A Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, Mar. 19, 2013, at the Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte. Reverend Bill Jeffries will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Branscomb #10, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
