Earl E. Snipes Sr.

Earl Edmond Snipes, Sr, age 82, of Charlotte, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Carolina Medical Center - Main. Born October 29, 1929 in Marshville, he was a son of the late Roscoe Snipes and Della Carpenter Snipes. Mr. Snipes retired as maintenance supervisor of First Union Bank. Following retirement, he worked several years at the Kings Drive Farmers Market. Mr. Snipes was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church.

The service o celebrate the life of Earl Edmond Snipes, Jr. will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 22nd at Easter Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Phillips and Reverend Dr. Garry Baldwin, officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margie Baucom Snipes;, daughter, Sandra Snipes Knight and husband, John; and sister, Lois McKinney, all of Charlotte; granddaughter, Leigh Ann Page; and great granddaughter, Rebecca S. Page, both of Anchorage, AK. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snipes was preceded in death by a son, Earl Edmond Snipes, Jr.; and five siblings.
