He was born January 21, 1959 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Delmar Lee Umbel and Beverly Rozanne Rockwell Umbel and moved to Charlotte at the age of two.
Bryan was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School as well as UNC-Charlotte. He worked for 30 years for Stanley Steamer and passed away just prior to his retirement. He loved music, especially rock music and blues, and was an accomplished guitarist.
He is survived by his sister, Janine Wolter and her husband, Bill; and his niece and nephew, Ariel Michelle Lee Wolter and Seth Joseph Wolter; as well as several aunts and uncles.
A service will be held in June in Pennsylvania.
