Edward H. Wiedner

Edward Wiedner, 59, of Charlotte died at his residence on Monday, May 16, 2011 with his loving wife by his side. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend to everyone that knew him.

He was born in Baltimore, MD on February 28, 1952. He was a US Army Veteran that faithfully served his country for eight years. He worked for IBM as a Professional Development Manager for 13 years. For many years Edward loved to coach and mentor the Starclaire Baseball Little League Teams. He was an avid golfer and cherished the many times he and his wife Shannon spent at Myrtle Beach.

Survivors include his wife Shannon Wiedner of Charlotte, NC; two sons Dain Wiedner and Brad Wiedner both of Charlotte; two brothers Robert Wiedner of Dumfries, VA and Andy Johnson and his wife Sharen of Stafford, VA; one sister Mary Lou Grimes and her husband Tom of Lake Forest, Illinois as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 20, 2011 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1510 East 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204 with Father Murdock Smith officiating.
