Eileen Carroll

Eileen was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania where she graduated from J. W. Cooper High School and met her husband of over 50 years, John Paul Carroll.

Eileen lived throughout the country, including for many years in Palmyra, PA; Rockville, MD; Myrtle Beach, SC; and for the last 13 years in Charlotte. Eileen loved good food, good books, and good company. She was active with the O.W.L.S. at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and enjoyed corresponding with its members as well as her many friends.

Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, John and her brother, James “Jimmy” Dee. She is survived by her two sons, John (Barbara) of Charlotte and Tom (Anne) Carroll of Lincoln, DE; grandchildren, Nicole and Patrick Carroll; sister, Patricia (Harold) Whitt of Lake Havasu City, AZ, as well as nieces, nephews and friends scattered across the country.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at Resurrection Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on January 9. A service in celebration of her life will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in the near future.
