Ms. Gurley, age 66, of Charlotte, died Monday, November 12, 2012. Born January 1, 1946 in Mecklenburg Co, she was a daughter of the late Webb Cornelius Hopper and Eleanor Parks Hopper. Ms. Gurley was a graduate of Garinger High School and a member of Forest Hills Church.
The service to celebrate the life of Eleanor Sherrill Gurley will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 15th from the graveside at Sharon memorial Park with her brother-in-law, Reverend Ed Hall, officiating.
Survivors include a sister, Judy Hall and her husband, Rev. Ed Hall of Concord; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gurley was preceded in death by a brother, Webb Eugene Hopper.
