Eleanor L. Lore Harris

Eleanor Harris of Bridgeton, NJ passed away on Monday, May 31, 2011 in Charlotte, NC at the age of 93. She was born on October 23, 1917 in Port Norris, NJ to the late Richard and Margaret Lore. She spent most of her life in New Jersey married to the late David D. Harris, a local builder. They had one son, Richard D. Harris.

Eleanor was known for her service to the community and was active in local politics. She loved to cook, bake and enjoyed all types of crafts. Many know her from her years working at Young Men’s Savings and Loan in downtown Bridgeton.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Richard, daughter in law, Arlene, two granddaughters, Ashley Christman of Charlotte, NC and Susan Cruz of West Palm Beach, FL and two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Shannon Cruz.

A Memorial Service officiated by Reverend Ronald Riley will be held at Legacy Heights on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 3:00 pm In Charlotte, NC.
