Mrs. Celii, 83, peacefully passed away surrounded by loving family on September 24, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. She was born on December 14, 1939 in Coatesville, PA, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Pivonski Kornet.
Elizabeth’s unwavering devotion to her family was an inspiration to all who knew her. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her role as wife, mother, grandmother and instilled in her children and grandchildren her values of love, faith, strength and family. She always put the needs of her family above her own.
She is survived by her children: Christopher Celii, Michael Celii (Kathi), Mark Celii (Heather) and Michelle Welshofer (John); grandchildren: Danielle, Kristin, Meagan, Maxwell, Josh and Ian Celii; Adrien and Luca Buchoux; and great-granddaughter, Isabel Slye.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on October 9th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Downingtown, PA. The family will receive friends following the service, details will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital; Wounded Warrior Project; or the ALS Association in her memory.
