Elizabeth McDonald Gurley “Babe”

Elizabeth McDonald Gurley, wife of the late Jake Gurley, formerly of Charlotte, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2013. Born in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ida May Sides McDonald. Mrs. Gurley worked for Leaksville Woolen Mills for many years before her retirement. She is survived by 4 children; Jack Gurley, Vickie Davis, Kenneth Gurley and Michael Gurley. 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Jerry Gurley and one brother. Funeral Services will be held Monday, 11AM in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive with Pastor Dr. Gary Berry to officiate. Visitation will be from 10-11AM. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered through www.forestlawnwest.com.
