Born and raised in Charlotte, Ann was the daughter of Ernestine “Teena” Crane Kistler and Jay Ross Kistler Sr., both of whom preceded her in death. Their love and guidance shaped the gentle, steady spirit she carried throughout her life.
Ann was a proud graduate of West Charlotte High School, Class of 1971. She continued her education at Wingate College, graduating in 1974. In the years that followed, she spent her career at Duke Energy and, most recently, at First Southwest Company.
Faith was an important part of Ann’s life. She was a longtime member of Pritchard Church in Charlotte, where she found community, comfort, and purpose.
Ann’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her son, Michael Teague Jr., and his wife, Linsey Teague, who brought her great pride and happiness.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jay Kistler. Ann is additionally survived by Jay’s family — his wife, Sheila, and their children Brooke, Kerri, and Trip, along with their families. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Leisel Owen, whose friendship remained a steady presence throughout the many seasons of her life.
Ann’s life was shaped by moments of joy, challenge, and quiet perseverance. Those who knew her will remember her in ways that feel true to their own experiences, holding onto the memories that bring them comfort. As her journey comes to its close, the hope is that she has found a place of peace and rest at last.
Service details will be shared by the family at a later time.
