She was born August 7, 1958, the daughter of the late Ray V. Williford and Elizabeth “Lib” Staley.
A born and raised Charlottean, she attended area schools and achieved perfect attendance first through twelfth grade. After graduating from West Mecklenburg High School with the class of 1976, she attended UNC at Charlotte.
Ellen owned her own printing company for over twenty years, following in her father’s footsteps.
She was good hearted and had many hobbies throughout her life, including fishing at the beach, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. Ellen loved her many dogs she had over the years and even had a pet crab that she took care of for over a decade.
Ellen is survived by her aunts and many cousins. A service to celebrate her life will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Paul Helton Chapel at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellen’s memory to The Humane Society of Charlotte.
