Eloise Heintz, age 97 of Columbus, NC , formerly of Charlotte, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Charlotte where she served as a member of the choir. Preceded in death by husband, Carl Raymond Heintz Sr.; sister, Essie D. Helms; and brothers, Clarence Weed Davis Jr. and Thomas Whitfield Davis Sr. She is survived by son, Carl Raymond Heintz Jr. (Jo); and daughter, Sarah H. Cross (Tom); grandchildren, Whit Heintz (Hollie), Brandon Heintz (Tina), Jonathon Cross and David Cross; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Harper, Eliza, Elliana, and Jaedyn. The family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte NC 28212, on Thursday, October 2, from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Funeral service and interment will follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
