I remember Elton when he was a Member at Pine Lake Country Club in Mint Hill. Elton had a Warm Spirit about him. He was as Good Man. I had no idea Elton had passed away. I cherish the Conversations I had with him

I haven't seen Elton since he was a young boy, but some of my fondest memories were made in the Shoemaker house. Stacy, Elton, Jack &  I loved playing with their pet turtles! Always fun times at the Shoemaker's...   I have lived in CT for almost 34 years, but I will never forget "the wonder years" and all of my dear childhood friends. Mr. & Mrs. Shoemaker, Stacey, Jack and your entire family will be in my thoughts & prayers.

It is with such a heavy heart that I join in your grief over the loss of Elton. For 40 years I have considered him one of my dearest PD friends. My memories of Elton bring laughter, tears of joy, and fondest of remembrances. He was the life of the party and lit up the room wherever he was. We shared many great times together with so many dear Providence Day friends. Mr and Mrs Shoemaker, you two always welcomed and loved me. Jack and Stacie, my friends, I know your pain in this time of losing a precious brother. Your whole family will remain in my prayers as the days continue without Elton around. I was so very shocked and saddened to hear of Elton's passing.  I remember him as the life of the party, the fun, loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, father and friend.  Smart and dedicated in his career and supportive to his family, his friends and his son.  I extend my deepest sympathy to the family at this time of loss.  May our loving Heavenly Father be with you at this difficult time.  Rest in Peace Little E.

Elton really lit up a room. I only met him once since joining his team at Infor, but Elton had a contagious joy and went out of his way to make me feel welcomed.   He was always willing to help out with my million and one questions with patience and reassurance that he didn't mind.

I'm so sad to learn of Elton's passing.  It's been years since we worked together at Oracle, but Elton is someone you don't forget.  A kind man with a big heart and a great laugh.

I  am shocked and so very sorry to hear of Elton Shoemaker's death. I remember him as a kind and friendly athlete at Providence Day School in the class prior to mine. He got a lot out of life even in high school and had so many friends.

My parents were friends of his parents and kept in touch until my dad's accident in 2009 and send their condolences.

My family also sends their prayers during this rough time. Our thoughts are also with his parents, siblings, kids and all his family.  May you all feel God's comfort at this huge loss.🙏🙏🙏

I am shocked to read of Elton's death.  During my years of teaching, I had great respect for the entire Shoemaker family.  They were all so polite and thoughtful  and were such a close family.

I am so sorry for you loss.  You don't know me, but I know a lot about you from your Father.  He was so proud of you and spent hours talking to me about your accomplishments on and off the court.  I worked with your Dad at Infor.  He ALWAYS took my calls and helped me navigate the company when I joined his team.  He helped me with business, but more importantly he talked to me about how to be a good Dad and guide my son's through adolescence and youth athletics.  There are very few people I work with whose children's names I know. I know yours.  It is a testament to how much he loved you and cherished the journey he took with you over the years on and off the court.  I will never forget the lessons and wisdom that he imparted on me.  The true measure of a man is the impact that he makes on others.  Elton made a major impact on me and thousands of others in the software business.  I will never forget Elton.

It’s not easy to know what to say to one who has lost someone near and dear to them, but I sincerely hope that you and your family will take comfort in knowing that the last enemy death will soon be done away with. The inspired words of our loving Heavenly Father tells us that …”He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” (Rev. 21:4) 

Elton or Little E as many called him is a handsome loving nephew. He was always teasing and making me laugh. Im so sorry he passed so soon. I will surely miss him and sad i live in Texas and unable to attend the services for more support to my family
