Mr. Eric Roy Forbes, 72, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died December 16, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center, University, in Charlotte. Born November 15, 1937, in Jamaica, son of the late Theophilus and Matilda Brown Forbes, he was a retired pipe fitter and a member of the Welder's Union, Local # 638, in New York.Mr. Forbes' survivors include his wife, Paulette Dale Forbes; six children, Erica Forbes Lopez, Marjorie Forbes, Matilda St. Fleur, Christine St. Fleur, Conroy Forbes and Eric Forbes, Jr.; his step-son, David Forbes; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacklyn Forbes.
