Charlotte - Eric Loges passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Mr. Loges was born on January 16, 1941, in Niagara Falls, NY, a son of the late Eric and Sara Grabhorn Loges. He attended public schools in Wilmington, Delaware, graduated with honors from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa Society, and subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration from the University’s Darden School of Business.
Eric began his career in retail with Woodward and Lothrop in Washington, DC. He went on to enjoy professional success in the textile industry for over 30 years, rising to senior management positions with WestPoint Pepperell, WestPoint Stevens (now WestPoint Home), Springs Industries (now Springs Global USA), and most recently, as Vice President of Bath Products with Home Source International, headquartered in Atlanta, GA.
He was at the forefront of the home textile industry’s move to develop and source products internationally for the U.S. markets. Eric was respected worldwide as a knowledgeable and trusted business partner. His associates knew him as someone who lifted you up, made you smile, and brought a bright spot to your day.
Eric’s passions in life were many, including music, tennis, travel and reading, but, above all, his family.
