Eula Delema Agee Pierson

Eula Delema Agee Pierson, 100, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital. One of ten children of the late Henry Frank Agee and Mary Emma Honaker Agee, she was born on August 10, 1912 in Fayetteville, WV. Mrs. Pierson married Stanley Lavene Pierson on January 10, 1942 and had been a resident of Charlotte since 1963. She was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church for almost fifty years and enjoyed writing poetry, researching family genealogy, gardening, needlework and quilting.

A funeral to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, January 23rd, at Amity Presbyterian Church with Pastor Betsy Williamson officiating. Entombment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.

Mrs. Pierson is survived by a son, David A. Pierson and wife Lola, of Maple Grove, MN; a daughter, Sue L. Pierson and fiancé John Davis, of Carboro, NC; a grandaughter, Deborah Lyche and husband Adam, of Geneva, IL; a great-grandson, Ian Lyche, of Geneva, IL and two sisters, Clarinda Duff, of Charleston, WV and Sally Thewes and husband Ernest, of Brownstown, MI.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pierson was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin and James and five sisters, Jenivene, Frances, Marie, June and Naomi.
