Survivors include sons William Homer Griffin, Jr. and wife Carolyn and Johnny Nathan Griffin and wife Mary; grandchildren, Gregory Griffin, Sharon Griffin Cauthen (Chris), Christopher Griffin; great-grandchildren, Anna and Ryan Cauthen.
She was preceded in death by husband, William Homer Griffin, Sr. and second husband William Henry Chick. Also preceding her in death were brothers Bill, George, Robert, Mike, Jerry and Jack Groner; sisters, Ruth Tucker, Ann Lang, Clara Culp, Alma Allred, Catherine Whitaker, Joan Beaty and Frances Rhyne.
A funeral service for Mrs. Chick will be held 2:00p.m., Friday, November 15 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte with Reverend Joe Mullis officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
