Eva Mae Smith Bush

Eva Mae Smith Bush, age 92 passed away November 22, 2012. She was born in Westminster, SC March 3, 1920 to Harald Matthew and Lola Mary McClain Smith. Mae moved to Charlotte at the age of twenty-six where she met the love of her life, R. E. Bush. She was a life-long member of Glenwood ARP Church, a member of the Areme Shrine #3, White Shrine and was active in her church circle. Surviving are

son, Roy E. Bush, Jr. (Gloria) of Gorham, Maine

grandsons, Trey Wright of Charlotte, Andy Bush of Gorham, Maine, Travis Bush (Kristin) of Gorham, Maine and Bryan Bush of Pinehurst, NC, great granddaughter, Bria and Myka Bush of Gorham, Maine and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by by her husband, R. E. Bush, son-in-law, Buddy Wright and her sixteen siblings. The family is eternally grateful to the loving care of her “angels”, LaSonya, Sharon, Linda, Marguerite, and Stacey. Thanks also to Dr. Stephen Vermeulen, Dr. Stephen Putnam, Dr. Bryan Kersten and Dr. Hellner for all the wonderful care. A visitation will be from 1:00-2:00PM Monday at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with a service to celebrate her life to be begin at 2:00PM in the Forest Lawn Chapel, Reverend Tony Harper officiating.
