Evelyn Mae Thomas, 84, of Charlotte, passed away on June 4, 2012. Evelyn was an accomplished seamstress. She was unselfish, always looking out and caring for others – a true matriarch of her family.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, William Thomas. She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly (Joe) Kitchen and Cindy Sinnett; grandchildren, David Coe, Joseph Kitchen Jr., Lisa Stanley, Scott Kitchen, Jeffrey Kitchen, Kelly Sinnett, Stacy Sinnett and Danielle Crump and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel 10500 Park Road, Charlotte 28210. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday June 7 at 1:00 pm followed by burial at Sunset Memory Gardens.
