Fannie McGuire Diehl Pursley, born June 11, 1921 in Inglenook, Alabama, died November 13, 2018. She is the daughter of the late James J. McGuire and Mary A. Tillman McGuire. She graduated Murphy High 1939 and received an associate degree in Interior design.
Fannie was a founding member of Mobile's Needle Art Club, a member of the Order of Polka Dots . She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel and entertain. She was an active member of her beloved St. Mark United Methodist Church of Mobile Alabama. She moved to Charlotte in 2013 to live with her daughter.
Fannie is survived by son, Guy C. Diehl III (Pinson, AL), daughter, Cathy Diehl Rheaume and husband Norman L Rheaume Jr (Charlotte, NC); grandchildren, Norman L. Rheaume III, Stephanie Rheaume Mitzner and Guy Cash Diehl IV; six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was proceeded in death by husband's, Guy Cash Diehl, Jr., and Claude Lee Pursley; daughter in law, Mary Mason Diehl; brothers, James J., William G., and Bobbie Rex McGuire.
In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Mark United Methodist Church or a favorite charity would be appreciated.
