Faye Lorene Watson Thore

A native of Mt. Airy, Mrs. Thore was born to the late Dixie Allen Watson and Mary Jarvis Watson on May 12, 1927. She was a past member of Plaza Baptist Church and Chantilly Baptist Church where she served as a bible and Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Thore taught bible classes for women at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Jail. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Thore was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Thore in 2003.

Mrs. Thore is survived by her children, Ed Thore of Matthews, Bruce Thore and wife Cindy of Charlotte, Jeff Thore and wife Gina of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Allyson Kaylor and husband James, Andy Thore and wife Paola, Ashleigh, Cameron and Dillard Thore; great-grandchild, Colton Kaylor; siblings, Peggy Atkins and husband Carl, Guy Watson and wife Loretta, Edith Vernon and husband Alford, Bobby Watson and wife Nancy all of Mt. Airy and by brother-in-law, Ed Alexander of Winston-Salem.

The funeral service will be Noon, Tuesday, September 21 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Brown and Rev. John Harrill officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte.
