

Floread Brown Lee, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012. She was born in Key West, Florida on May 8, 1920 and was raised in Tampa. She graduated from Florida State University where she majored in social work and minored in physical education. She moved to Charlotte with her husband, Dr. F. Wayne Lee in 1946.
Floread loved her family, her church and her community. She was an active member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church, the Mecklenburg Medical Auxiliary and various other community organizations, in which she happily served for many years.
Floread is preceded in death by her husband, F. Wayne Lee and her son, Randall Walker Lee. She is survived by her son, Alan Wayne Lee; her daughter, Laura Lee Bost and husband Jimmy; grandsons, Alan Christopher Lee and wife Julie Bleha, Zachary Stewart Lee, Stuart Williams Bost and wife Meredith, and Alex Dill Lee: and great-grandsons, Thaddeus and Callum Lee.
A service celebrating the life of Floread will be held in the chapel of Harry & Bryant on Wednesday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
