

Born, November 15, 1934 in Waxhaw, NC, he was a son of the late Lester Lee Moore and Mamie Louise Helms Moore. He worked as a lead machinist at DMA in Charlotte.
Floyd was a member of Fort Mill Church of God. He was a former member of Hickory Grove Church of God where he helped by playing the organ and ministering through his “minute messages” to the children of the church. He was known as the minute man.
Floyd was a hard worker, devoted to God and his family. He adores his wife, Elease, whom he married August 20, 1957. He was a devoted father and grandfather l. He was adored and looked up to by everyone he came across. He would do anything to help anyone. He always carried a smile everywhere he went and never spoke badly of anyone in his path.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elease Moore; two children, Kenneth Moore of Pineville, NC and daughter, Wendy Moore Carter (Chad) of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne Moore, Christopher Waters, Dustin Moore, Allison Moore, Adelyn Carter and Hannah Carter; and great-grandchild, Aaliyah Moore.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Sidney Moore, John Moore, Elsie Privette, Harvey Moore and David Moore and son, Curtis Moore.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 am and then followed by a service to celebrate Floyd’s life at 1:00 pm in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road. Private interment with family will be held at Pineville Cemetery.
