

He was born on September 19, 1938 in Gastonia, NC to the late Troy McDaniel and Maggie (Clary) McDaniel.
Successful in all his career endeavors, Forrest was most recently employed as a department manager with Lowe’s Home Improvement. Prior to Lowe’s, he worked as an Operations Analyst which allowed him to travel the world as he visited countless different companies seeking to increase their efficiency levels.
In early adulthood, Forrest earned his hot air balloon license and piloted hot air balloons for several years. In his late 30s, he was privileged to participate in the US Bicentennial celebrations by piloting one of the balloons in the official hot air balloon race.
Forrest was a lover of all sports, but especially enjoyed following the Atlanta Braves and UNC Tar Heels Basketball.
In addition to his parents, Forrest was preceded in death by his brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by his sister, Linda Norton, and many cherished friends.
Per Forrest’s request, there will be no public services at this time.
