

Frances Jacobs Biggers, 93, of Charlotte passed away January 4, 2026. Born October 14, 1932 in Whiteville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Mae (Soles) Jacobs. She married Sterling Biggers on June 6, 1953 in Chester, SC.
Frances grew up in Whiteville, NC and relocated to Charlotte, NC after graduating from Whiteville High School. She later met the love of her life, Sterling Biggers at the local skating rink and married soon after.
She was employed with Bank of America for numerous years.
Frances was a member of Chapman Memorial Baptist Church where she was very active for many years. She later attended and supported Assurance United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed floral design, puzzles, cooking, reading, painting, annual family trips and spending time with her dog, Duke.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda B. Thrasher; granddaughter, Jessica (Justin) Gnagy; great-granddaughters, Parker and Graysen Gnagy; sister, Betty Rich; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John Sterling Biggers; brother, Glendale Jacobs; sisters, Margaret Squires and Peggy Butler.
