

Frances Boggs of Charlotte, NC, passed away at Sharon Towers on September 30, 2014. She was born in Anson County, NC, on January 28, 1921, a daughter of the late Willis Oscar Rayfield and Mary Myers Rayfield.
Frances graduated from Deep Creek High School in Anson County. She also graduated from the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in September, 1942. She received her RN certificate at the same time. She retired from Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Hospital of Charlotte.
She leaves the following members of her family to cherish her memories: sons Arnold Ray Boggs Jr. (Andrea), Joseph Lee Boggs (fiancé Beverly Griffin) and daughter Jenny Boggs Carver (John); grandchildren Jack and Joe Carver and Derek Boggs as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years A. Ray Boggs as well as four brothers and two sisters.
A service to celebrate the life of Frances Boggs will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2014 at McEwen Chapel on Monroe Road, with Dr. Ron Tippens of Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM through 10:45 AM. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thanks of appreciation to the loving, caring staff of Sharon Towers where Frances lived for 24 years. They would also like to thank the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care – Charlotte Region.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Towers Resident’s Assistance Fund.
